This archive is maintained privately. There is no organisation behind it, nothing is for sale, and nobody is paid to run it.
If you write, the message is read by a person. These are the ones worth sending.
What is most useful
Errors in a text
If a word is wrong, a paragraph is out of order, or something reads as though it has been altered, tell us which work and roughly where. Corrections take priority over everything else here.
First editions
The texts have not been checked against original printings. If you own a first edition of any of the fourteen books, or a clean scan of one, that is the single most valuable thing you could offer.
Material not yet here
Lectures, recordings, letters, photographs, newspaper clippings. If you hold something by or about Neville that is not in this archive, we would like to know it exists even if you would rather not part with it.
Known gaps, stated plainly
25 of 127 chapter headings in the books are shown as numbers only. They could not be read reliably from the copy in hand, and they have been left blank rather than guessed.
19 of 235 lectures carry no date. They are shown with a dash rather than an estimate.
128 original recordings, 301 hours, are held but not published. Several run to two or three hours and contain more than one lecture each. They need splitting and dating before they go up.
None of the texts have been proofed against first editions. They are complete and unedited, but “unedited” is not the same as “verified”, and this archive will not pretend otherwise.
